Fried chili paste with shrimps and potatoes is originaly with coconut milk. But I cooked with all of ingredients what I have already in my kitchen. I didn't have coconut milk, so I changed with fresh milk. So I got delicious Indonesian food.
- 15 shrimps, cleaned.
- 2 medium potatoes, small diced.
- 1/2 red onion, finely chopped.
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped.
- 1 tbsp chili paste.
- 1 stalk lemongrass, take white part and crushed.
- 2 bay leaves.
- 1/2 tsp ground coriander.
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin.
- 1/4 tsp ground turmeric.
- 1 cup of fresh milk.
- Salt to taste.
- Coriander leaves as needed, roughly chopped.
- 2 tbsp oil to sautè.
Instruction :
- Heat oil and sautè onion, garlic until fragrant.
- Add cumin, coriander, turmeric and sautè until fragrant.
- Add chilie paste and salt, sautè until fragrant.
- Add shrimps and stir until reddish.
- Pour milk and stir until combine evenly.
- Add potato and stir until combine evenly and cook until water dries up and potato tender with low flame.
- If potato not yet tender but water is already dries up so add little water and cook until tender and water dries yo.
- After well done, sprinkle with coriander leaves and stir well. Ready to be served.
