Fried Chili Paste with Shrimps and Potatoes

Fried chili paste with shrimps and potatoes is originaly with coconut milk. But I cooked with all of ingredients what I have already in my kitchen. I didn't have coconut milk, so I changed with fresh milk. So I got delicious Indonesian food.




Ingredients :
  • 15 shrimps, cleaned.
  • 2 medium potatoes, small diced.
  • 1/2 red onion, finely chopped.
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped.
  • 1 tbsp chili paste.
  • 1 stalk lemongrass, take white part and crushed.
  • 2 bay leaves.
  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander.
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin.
  • 1/4 tsp ground turmeric.
  • 1 cup of fresh milk.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Coriander leaves as needed, roughly chopped.
  • 2 tbsp oil to sautè.
Instruction :
  1. Heat oil and sautè onion, garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add cumin, coriander, turmeric and sautè until fragrant.
  3. Add chilie paste and salt, sautè until fragrant.
  4. Add shrimps and stir until reddish.
  5. Pour milk and stir until combine evenly.
  6. Add potato and stir until combine evenly and cook until water dries up and potato tender with low flame.
  7. If potato not yet tender but water is already dries up so add little water and cook until tender and water dries yo.
  8. After well done, sprinkle with coriander leaves and stir well. Ready to be served.
