
Today I have made new flatbread is Aloo Paratha. Paratha is stuffed mashed potato. I got the recipe from my husband friend. Yummy, little bit spicy from mashed potato. Aloo Paratha for break fasting.
- 300 grs strong flour.
- Salt as needed.
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil/olive oil.
- Lukewarm water as needed.
Ingredients of Filling :
- 2 - 3 boiled potatoes, peeled and mashed.
- Dried chili powder as needed.
- 1/2 tsp garam masala.
- Parsley as needed, roughly chopped.
- 1/2 onion, roughly chopped.
- Melted ghee as needed.
Direction of Roti Paratha :
- Mix flour and salt until mixture.
- Add oil, mix.
- Pour lukewarm water gradually, and always whisk until to get smooth elastic dough.
- Round and let stand for 10 minutes and cover with wet cloth or plastic wrap.
- Put into warm room.
- While waiting for the dough, we can make potato filling.
Direction of Potato Filling :
- Stirred fry onion, garam masala, parsley, until fragrant.
- Add mashed potato, stir and saute briefly.
- Remove and let it cool.
Direction Aloo Paratha :
- Devide the dough 7 pieces, and round like small ball.
- Devide filling dough 7 pieces with size 3/4 of the bread dough, and round like small ball.
- Milled the dough with the middle bit thick.
- Put filling, cover and round again like small ball.
- Milled until thin, but care, don't filling come out.
- Put onto hot frypan, fry until brown and add melted ghee. Ready to be served.
