Bakwan

Bakwan is Indonesia snack. You can easy to find on the street stall. We eat when afternoon tea time or just past time with family or friends. Mix with some vegetables such sprout, corn, parsley, shrimps and the fry. Better served with hot chili sauce or green cayenne pepper.




Ingredients :
  • 250 gr sprouts, wash.
  • 2 stalks celery,thinly sliced.
  • 150 gr shrims, roughly chopped.
  • 100 gr flour.
  • 150 ml coconut milk /water.
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder.
  • 1/2 tsp salt.
  • 1/4 tsp ground pepper.
  • 3 cloves garlic, mashed.
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten.
Instruction :
  1. Put in bowl flour, baking powder, salt, ground pepper, garlic, and egg.
  2. Mix all with whisk hand, and pour coconut milk/water, gradually and stir gently until properly
  3. Add sprouts, celery, leeks and chopped shrimps, stir until mix well.
  4. Heat the oil for deep frying.
  5. And the fry by around steel ladle as mold,
  6. Wait until bakwan lose from ladle.
  7. Fry until golden brown.
  8. Served with spicy sauce or green chayenne pepper.
