Donut is favorites pastry for Indonesian people and the world too. This time, I made donuts mix potatoes mashed. Soft and more sweet. Taste, different with standard donuts.
- 500 grs flour.
- 30 grs yeast.
- 100 grs butter.
- 150 grs potatoes, steam and mashed.
- 1 tsp vanilla.
- 70 grs sugar
- 1 egg.
- 150 mls fresh milk.
- Orange peel
- Oil for deep fry.
- Pour fresh milk into small pan.
- Add little grated orange peel, butter and vanilla.
- Put on the flame until hot and butter melt, no boil.
- Put flour, yeast and sugar into a bowl, mix well.
- Add egg, mix and pour the milk and butter mixture, stir gently by hand until not sticky.
- Make the dough is like ball and let stand for 1 hour until get double the volume the dough.
- Knead once again until air in the dough finish.
- Devide and shape like a little ball.
- Put on the middle dough index finger to make hole.
- Let stand them 15 minutes, and fry until golden brown.
