Bapel is a kind of Indonesia traditional cake with shape as heart. If we see, the first we will say it is waffles. But no, because different batter and methode to bake. Both of two has special mould. If bapel baked on the stove while the waffles baked by using a mold of electricity. But what I prepared I bake with oven. Yummy for breakfast and tea time. If you want to get soft, so served when hot.
Ingredients Wateroux :
- 50 gr all purpose flour.
- 100 ml lukewarm water.
- 1 tbsp sugar.
- 1 tbsp dried yeast.
Ingredients :
- 5 eggs.
- 350 gr all purpose flour.
- 250 gr sugar.
- 350 ml fresh milk.
- 1/2 tsp salt.
- 1 tsp vanilla.
- 150 gr steamed carrot, mashed.
Instruction :
- Mix all of wateroux ingredients, stir until combine evenly. Let stand for 10 minutes until rising.
- Mix flour and vanilla, stir well.
- Whisk egg, salt and sugar with electric mixer until fluffy and thick.
- Add mixture of flour into batter and stir until combine evenly.
- Add the wateroux batter and mix well with wood spoon.
- Add mashed carrot and stir until combine evenly.
- Pour the fresh milk into the batter and stir until combine evenly and let stand for 1 hour.
- Heat oven 180°C.
- Pour the batter into mould and bake until golden brown. Ready to be served warm.
