Golap Pitha is sweet of Bangladesh. Golap means Rose, and Pitha means some fried snack. After fried, the pitha is soaked in sugar syrup. Made of milk, flour, ghee.
Ingredients :
- 1 cup all purpose flour.
- 1 cup fresh milk.
- 1/2 tsp salt.
- 1 tbsp oil/ghee.
- Oil for deep frying.
- 1 cup sugar.
- 1/2 cup water.
Instruction :
- Pour milk into sauce pan, add salt, simmer with medium fire until boiled.
- Add flour, stir quick until mixture with milk for 2 - 3 minutes ont the flame.
- Turn off the flame and let it cool until you can hold it.
- Rub your hand with oil/ghee, and knead until smooth for 6 -7 minutes.
- Take little the dough and flatten, cut with round cookie cutter diametre 8 - 10 cms. We need 2 sheets and 1 little ball for flower buds and 4 sheets for blossom. Check the pict how to make.
- Preheat oil for deep frying. Put rose flower and fry until cooked.
- Puor water and sugar into sauce pan, simmer until sugar melted and boiled. Set aside.
- After fried, transfer to serving plate and soaked in sugar syrup.
- Ready to be served.
