I made it for Eid Al-Adha and it coincides my daughter birthday. Gulab Jamun is Bangladesh Sweet. Made of milk and fry. I love Bengali Sweet, because all of ingredients milk.
- 3 cups plastic milk powder.
- 1 cup plastic selfrising flour or 3 cups all purpose flour and 1 teaspoon of baking powder.
- Little bit water to mix all of ingredients.
- Oil to fry.
- Slice almond and pistachio as garnish.
Ingredients sugar syrup :
- 1 1/2 cups water.
- 2 cups sugar.
- 1/2 tsp green cardamom powder.
- Put all of ingredients into pan and simmer until boil and thick with medium high flame.
- Add 1 tsp lime juice.
Instruction :
- Mix milk powder and self rising flour.
- Pour water, gradually while kneaded until you can shape the dough like little ball.
- Preheat oil to fry deep with medium flame.
- When begin to fry put low flame until the dough brown.
- And put into sugar syrup.
- Let it 2 - 3 hours until sugar syrup absorb to little balls.
- Ready to be served and give garnish with sprinkle of almond and pistachio.
