Achar Gosht

Achar Gosht is Pakistan curry. It is very tasty and spicy. The dish is good for sehri eat with chapati, Bangladesh rooti, paratha or naan. With hot rice is tasty too.

Ingredients :
  • 1 kg beef, cut small pieces.
  • 500 gr plain yogurt.
  • 1 cup tomato paste.
  • 1 tbsp garlic and ginger paste.
  • Red chili powder as needed.
  • Salt to taste.
  • 50 gr green chili.
  • 1 large potato, peeled and sliced 8 pieces.
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil.
  • Achar masala.
  • Kalunji / black seeds.
  • Saunf / fennel seeds.
  • 1 tsp zeera / bintang.
  • Methi seeds / fenugreek seeds.
Instruction :
  1. Marinated beef with garlic and ginger paste, chili powder, salt and yogurt for 2 hours.
  2. Preheat vegetable oil, add meat and cook until oil separate from spices.
  3. Add sufficient water, cook with low flame until meat is tender.
  4. Grind achar masala and mix in it 1 tsp salt.
  5. Slit green chilies and take out the seeds and stuffed with ground achar masala.
  6. When the water dries from meat, add tomato paste, arrange green chilies in the centre of the cooked meat and sprinkle with rest achar masala on top of meat and cooked with low flame until chilies is tender.
  7. Ready to be served.
