Bak Pao is a Chinese steamed bun. Bak Pao is very familiar in Indonesia. I made Bakpao with coconut caramelized brown sugar as filling. But actually, they put red beans paste or mung bean paste.
- 150 ml fresh milk.
- 50 grs sugar.
- 1/2 tsp salt.
- 400 grs strong flour.
- 1 tbsp yeast.
- 25 grs olive oil.
Instruction :
- Mix fresh milk, sugar and salt well.
- Mix yeast and flour, make hole in the center of flour.
- Pour milk gradually, and stir gently until finish and blended.
- Pour olive oil, knead until smooth and not sticky.
- Round the dough, cover with wet cloth and let it for 30 minutes until fluffy doble than before.
- Press the dough and knead again.
- Devide the dough every 100 grams.
- Put coconut caramelized brown sugar into dough and round.
- Let it 10 minutes and steam into steamer pan until cooked.
