Pan di Spagna

Pan di Spagna is famous Italian Cake. For me, Pan di Spagna is Sponge Cake with little different ingredients. Pan di Spagna added Fecola di Patata or Potato Starch.

Ingredients :
  • 180 gr sugar.
  • 6 eggs.
  • A pinch of salt.
  • 1 - 2 tsp lemon zest.
  • 90 gr all purpose flour.
  • 90 fecola di patata.
  • 1 tsp baking powder.
Instruction :
  1. Preheat oven 180°C.
  2. Smeared baking tray with butter / margarine and sprinkle with flour.
  3. Mix flour, potato starch and baking powder.
  4. Whisk egg, sugar and salt until fluffy and thick.
  5. Add lemon zest and mixture of flour, stir until combine evenly.
  6. Pour the batter into baking tray and bake until well done for 30 minutes,
