Canape

Canape is triangle risoles (Indonesia Snack). In my hometown Pontianak, we called Canape. Stuffing is same like Risolesm only shape different.
For my canape stuffing is carrot,  small dried shrimps and radish. I added radish because sweet as jicama.



Ingredients :
  • 150 gr all purpose flour.
  • 1/4 tsp salt.
  • 2 whole eggs, light beaten.
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil.
  • 450 ml fresh milk.
Ingredients of Stuffing :
  • Raddis, grated.
  • Carrot, grated.
  • Small dried shrimps, washed and drien up.
  • Salt for taste.
  • 1/2 medium size onion, finely chopped.
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped.
  • 1/4 tsp ground pepper.
  • Vegetable oil for sauteing.
Ingredients of coating :
  • Bread crumbs.
  • 1 egg white.
Instruction of Canape Sheets :
  1. Mix the flour, salt and egg. Stir until well combine.
  2. Pour the water gradually while stir until well combine and no clot. Filtered so that really smooth.
  3. Add vegetable oil and stir until well combine.
  4. Preheat frypan with diameter 18 cm.
  5. Pour the batter as thin as possible, while move the fry pan so that th batter spread out.
  6. Let dry the surface of sheets and if you can move the sheets on the frypan, means well done.
  7. Transfert to plate and do until the batter finish. Set aside.
Instruction of Stuffing :
  1. Preheat oil for sauteing, stir fry onion, garlic, and salt until fragrant,
  2. Add the small dried shrimps and stir until reddish.
  3. Add teh radish, carrot and stir until wilt and mature. Set aside.
Instruction of Canape :
  1. Take a sheet of canape, put stuffing.
  2. Folded to middle.
  3. Folded the other side of the tilt will form of triangle.
  4. Folded th bottom to up.
  5. And folded the both edges to back.
  6. Flip it over. View image.
  7. Dipped the canape into egg, coated with bread crumbs.
  8. Preheat the oil and fry until golden brown. Ready to be served.
