Cah Kangkung

It is yummy Indonesian dish. Water spinach, just stir fry with onion, garlic and shrimps paste. More yummy if with ikan pedak (salt mackarel fish) and shirmps paste chilies and hot white rice.

Ingredients :
  • 300 gr water spinach (a big bunch), cut and wash.
  • 1/2 medium size onion, roughly chopped.
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped.
  • 1/4 tsp burn or fry shrimp paste.
  • Cayenne chilies as needed.
  • Salt / seasoning as needed.
  • Oil for stir fry.
Instruction :
  1. Cut water spinach and wash, then soaked into salt water for 10 minutes. Wash again and drained.
  2. Preheat oil, saute onion, garlic, shrimp paste and salt / seasoning until fragrant.
  3. Add water spinach and saute until wilt. Transfer to serving plate and ready to be served with hot white rice.
