Puff Pastry Homemade Stuffed Cheddar Cheese

So long time ago, I wanted to try making my own puff pastry, just now realized. I feel so excited. Now, I made my prime puff pastry that stuffed with sliced of cheddar cheese and on top spread with yolk, sprinkled with sugar.





Ingredients :
  • 250 gr all purpose flour.
  • 6 gr sugar.
  • 7 gr salt.
  • 1 egg.
  • 100 ml cold water.
  • 25 gr margarine
  • 125 gr unsalted butter.
  • Cheddar cheese as needed, for stuffing.
  • 1 yolk.
  • Sugar as needed for sprinkle.
Instruction :
  1. Mix flour, sugar and salt, add egg and mix.
  2. Pour cold water, knead moment. Add margarine and knead again until combine evenly.
  3. Put inside frezzer for 15 minutes (wrapped with plastic wrap).
  4. Roll the dough up with roller pin, with thickness 1 cm, put unsalted butter. Flatten by hand until wide. Folding like an envelope.
  5. Roll the dough up, flip out and fold again. Do it until 6 times, with thickness 1/2 cm.
  6. Put in the freezer again with wrapped plastic. The dough ready to use.
  7. Take the puff pastry homemade. And cut by cookies cutter or pizza cutter are square.
  8. Put slice of cheddar cheese, fold like triangle, spread with egg yolk and sprinkle with sugar.
  9. Put on the baking tray. Do it until the dough finish.
  10. Preheat oven 150°C, bake until golden brown.
  11. Ready to be served as snack.
