Dorayaki - Japanese Pancake

Who doesn't know Doraemon. We know Doraemon with Bamboo Propellers and The Magic Door, and one thing he love Dorayaki. Now, I post a Dorayaki Recipe with mung bean nutella paste.






Ingredients Japanese Pancake:
  • 2 eggs.
  • 60 grs castor sugar.
  • 1 tbsp honey.
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda.
  • 50 ml water.
  • 130 gr all purpose flour.
  • 100 ml fresh milk.
  • Butter as needed.
  • Mung bean Nutella paste as needed.
Ingredients Mungbean Nutella Paste :
  • 100 grs mung bean with no shell, soaked 1 hour into water.
  • 200 ml fresh milk.
  • 1 tbsp nutella.
  • 1 tbsp sugar.
Instruction Mungbean Nutella Paste :
  1. Puree mung bean and milk until smooth.
  2. Pour into small sauce pan, add nutella and sugar, mix.
  3. Turn on flame with low flame, stir occasionally until thick. Let it cool
Instruction Japanese Pancake :
  1. Whisk eggs, custor sugar, and honey until bubble with whisker hand or mixer low speed.
  2. Mix baking soda with water, pour into the batter. Mix until combine evenly.
  3. Add flour and milk alternately until finish and whisk until combine evenly.
  4. Rest 30 minutes.
  5. Spread frypan diameter 8 cm with butter, turn on the flame.
  6. Pour the batter onto frypan. When the bubbles pop up on the surface of the batter flip it. Wait 4 minutes and transfer on the plate and cover with kitchen paper to keep it moist. Do it until the batter finish.
  7. Take 2 pcs pancakes put the paste between them. The lightly press then into Dorayaki shape. Ready to be served.
