Black Glutinous Porridge

It is a traditional snack from Indonesia. Made of black glutinous rice and pour coconut sauce. So delicious when you eat cold season. And when hot season you can add ice cube, delicious too.






Ingredients :
  • 250 grs black glutinous rice, washed and soaked for 2 hours.
  • 150 grs brown sugar.
  • 1 pandan leaf, cut and binded.
  • 1 lt water.
  • Sugar as needed.
  • Salt as needed.
Ingredients of coconut sauce :
  • 1 lt light coconut milk.
  • 1 pandan leaf, cut and binded.
  • Salt is required.
Instruction :
  1. Simmer water, add glutinous rice and pandan leaf. Cook unti boiled, put low flame. Stir occasionally until glutinous rice become porridge.
  2. Add brown sugar, and salt, stir until combine evenly. Add sugar if need.
  3. Turn of flame and let it cool.
Instruction of coconut sauce :
  1. Simmer coconut milk, salt and pandan leaf, while stir occasionally.
  2. Let coconut sauce cool.
How to serve Black Glutinous Porridge :
  1. Take 1 - 2 ladle of black glutinous porridge, pour into serving bowl.
  2. Pour the coconut milk sauce.
  3. Ready to be served.
