Gosht (Beef) Biryani

There are many kinds of biryani. Now, I share how to cook and prepare beef biryani. Biryani is rice which you will find easy when you visit your friends house or party.

Ingredients :
  • 1 kg - 1.5 kgs of beef.
  • 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder.
  • 1 teaspoon of coriander powder.
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin powder.
  • 1 teaspoon of salt.
  • 3 colves of garlic.
  • 1 green cayenne pepper.
  • 2 cms of ginger.
  • 1 onion.
  • 1 fresh tomato.
  • 200 mls of fresh milk or 2-3 tablespoon of plain yogurt.
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil.
  • 4 cms of cinnamon.
  • 2 bay leaves.
  • 4 cloves.
  • 4 cardamoms.
  • 500 grams of basmati rice.
  • 2 tablespoon of butter or ghee.
  • 1.5 teaspoon of salt.
  • Water is required.

Instruction :
  1. Heat oil for saute spice. Blend the onion, garlic, ginger and cayenne pepper. Pour into pan and saute until fragrant.
  2. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder cumin powder, salt, cinnamon, bay leaves, cloves, cardamom mix them and saute until fragrant. Slice tomato and mix until tomato is liquid.
  3. Add beef, mix and cook until half tender.
  4. After half cooked, pour fresh milk or yogurt and cook until meat tender and water is dry. After water is dry, turn off flame.
  5. Melt butter in another pan.
  6. After washed rice, pour into pan and stir fry until little yellow. Pour water one knuckle of the index finger above the rice.
  7. Pour beef curry into rice, and mix well. Cook until rice is cooked.
  8. Ready to be served with salad.
