Chana Curry for Iftar (Ramadhan Fasting)

Stirred Fry Chana is one of dish for Ramadhan. Bangladeshi eat it almost every break the fast. They eat with Muri (Puffed Rice) and some Fried Vegetable.

Ingredients :
  • 200 grs dried chana/chickpeas, soaked within 24 hours.
  • 1 medium potato, cut diced.
  • 1/2 medium onion, roughly chopped.
  • 1 tsp garlic paste.
  • 1/3 tsp ground turmeric.
  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander.
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder.
  • Green cayenne pepper as needed.
  • Salt as needed.
  • Oil for sauteing.
Instruction :
  1. Boil chana until tender and then drain.
  2. Saute onion, garlic, green cayenne pepper, and salt until fragrant.
  3. Add coriander, cumin and turmeric, saute until fragrant.
  4. Add chana, stir until spices mixture with chana.
  5. Add hot water, boil until water little bit dry, add diced potato.
  6. Cook until potato mature and water dry.
  7. Serve with muri (puffed rice) and fried vegetable.
