Beef Couscous

I ever shared couscous recipe with vegetable and shrimps. Couscous is Middle Eastern Food and how to cook is easy and simple. When I am lazy to cook, couscous is my solution for lunch or dinner...hehehe.






Ingredients :
  • 250 gr couscous semola oro.
  • 200 - 300 ml broth.
  • 400 gr beef, medium diced.
  • 1 medium size red union, finely chopped.
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped.
  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander.
  • 1/2 sdt ground cumin.
  • 1/2 sdt ground nutmeg.
  • 2 bay leaves.
  • 3 cm cinnamon.
  • 4 cardamoms.
  • 4 cloves.
  • 2 tbsp yogurt.
  • Salt to taste.
  • If you like hot, add bird eyes chilies, halved.
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil + 1 tbsp ghee.
Instruction :
  1. Heat oil and ghee until melt.
  2. Stir fry onion, garlic, and salt until fragrant.
  3. Add coriander, cumin, nutmeg, bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamoms and cloves. Stir fry until fragrant.
  4. Add beef and cooked until runs out the meat water with medium heat almost low. And add yogurt, stir until combine evenly. Cook until meat is tender and water dries up.
  5. Add the couscous semola oro, mix until combine evenly.
  6. Pour the broth and stir until combine evenly.
  7. Cook with low heat until couscous mature and stirring occasionally so while not burn.
  8. Ready to be served with salad.
