American Risoles

Called American Risoles, probably because stuffing is bacon or sausage, hard boiled egg, cheese and mayonnaise. My kiddos love it. It is our snack for tea time on afternoon. No need busy to to make stuffing, only cut and ready for stuff risoles.

Ingredients Sheets of Risoles :
  • 150 gr strong flour.
  • 1/4 tsp salt.
  • 2 egg, beaten lightly.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil / vegetable oil.
  • 400 ml fresh milk
  • 50 ml water.
Ingredients Stuffing of Risoles :
  • 2 hard boil egg, peeled and cut 12 pieces.
  • 3 sausages, cut 12 pieces.
  • Mayonaisse.
  • Sheets cheese.
Ingredients Coating of Risoles :
  • 1 - 2 tbsp all purpose flour.
  • 200 ml water
  • Bread crumbs.
  • Oil for frying.
Instruction :
  1. Pour flour and salt into medium bowl.
  2. Mix fresh milk and water and pour into flour and stir until combine evenly. No clot.
  3. Pour egg and oil, stir until combine evenly.
  4. Preheat medium frypan with diameter 20 cm and pour the batter as thin as possible.
  5. Put on the flame, until you see surface of sheet is dry, it means OK. Transfer to plate and do again until the batter finish.
  6. Take a sheet and put sixth of boiled egg, quarter of sausage, 1 tsp mayonaisse, and small slice of cheese.
  7. Fold down to middle, right and left, then rolled. Do it until sheets of risoles runs out. Set aside.
  8. Prepare the batter of coating : mix flour and water. no clot.
  9. Preheat oil for fry. Take an American Risoles, roll over the bread crumbs then dipped into liquid flour until coated surface of risoles and roll over the bread crumbs again. Fry until golden brown.
  10. Transfer to serving plate and served with ketchup or chili sauce.
