Baklava Puff Pastry

Before, I ever made Baklava Roll with Filo Homemade. Now, I make Baklava with Puff Pastry, more easy and quick. For me, better with puff pastry sheets, more crispy. If you like crunchy, you can use filo sheets.






Ingredients :
  • Puff Pastry sheets : 24 x 32 cm (2 sheets)
  • 1 cup Nuts : pistachio, cashewnut, peanut, almond (finely chopped).
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon.
  • 3/4 cup palm sugar.
  • 1/2 cup water.
  • 1/4 cup honey.
  • 1/2 tbsp butter.
  • Pizza cutter.
Instruction :
  1. Preheat oven 200°C.
  2. Mix all of nuts with butter, cinnamon and 1/2 cup palm sugar until combine evenly.
  3. Take a sheet of baking paper and put to baking tray for roll cake.
  4. Put a sheet of puff pastry on the baking tray has been covered with baking paper.
  5. Sprinkle the nut mixture to the over of puff pastry, so that covers the entire surface of the puff pastry.
  6. After sprinkle with nuts, cover again with another sheet of puff pastry.
  7. Cut square with pizza cutter, and cut triangle.
  8. Bake 30 minutes or until golden brown surface.
  9. At the time, boil 1/4 palm sugar, honey and 1/2 water until sugar melt.
  10. After mature, remove from oven and pour  the sugar syrup to baklava.
  11. Served the Baklava immediately or cool.
