Kichoori

Kichoori (Kicuri) is rice mix with dhal (lentils). It is one of South Asia (India and Bangladesh) rice. Healthy rice, fix for whom as vegetarian. Because only lentil.







Ingredients :
  • 5 cups basmati rice.
  • 1/2 cup of dhal (lentil).
  • 5 - 10 hard boiled eggs.
  • 1 big onion, roughly chopped.
  • 2 tbsp butter (ghee).
  • 2 tsp salt.
  • 4 cms cinnamon.
  • 2 bay leaves.
  • 50 grs  peas.
  • 1/4 tsp ground turmeric.
  • 10 cups boiled water.

Instruction :
  1. Melt butter or ghee.
  2. Added onion, stir fry until fragrant and soft.
  3. Add salt, cinnamon and bay leaves, stir well.
  4. Pour mixture of rice and dhal after washed well. Stir fry until colour of rice yellow. Add turmeric powder and stir until blended.
  5. Pour the hot water on rice and stir until combine evenly with rice.
  6. When the water is boiling, ad the peas and boiled eggs.
  7. Cook until mature with low flame. Served with side dishes and salad.
