Beef Tounge Rendang

Beef Tounge Rendang is a side dish Minangese (West Sumatera) too. It consists of beef tounge, coconut milk, dried chili paste. Typical Minangese dishes are spicy and coconut milik.






Ingredients :
  • 500 grs beef tounge, boil until tender and cut.
  • 1 tbsp dried chili paste.
  • 1 big onion, roughly chopped.
  • 1 1/2 tbsp garlic and ginger paste.
  • 3 lime leaves.
  • 2 cms galangal, crushed.
  • 200 ml of coconut milk.
  • 200 ml broth.
  • Sugar and salt as needed.
  • Vegetable oil for stir fry.
Instruction :
  1. Stir fry onion, garlic and ginger paste, dried chili paste, lime leaves, galangal, sugar and salt, until fragrant.
  2. Add beef tounge and stir until mixture.
  3. Pour coconut milk, and stir occasionally until coconut milk dried.
  4. Ready to be served with hot white rice.
