Sour Sweet Fried Fish Chili Sauce

Sour Sweet Fried Fish Chili Sauce / Ikan Goreng Asam Manis is a side dish of West Kalimantan - Indonesia. Taste spicy, sour and little bit sweet.







Ingredients :
  • 1 kg fish.
  • 5 grs dried red chilies.
  • 1 medium onion.
  • 2 cloves garlic.
  • 1/2 tsp salt.
  • 1 tbsp sugar (optional).
  • 2 tbsp tamarind juice.
  • Oil for sauteing.
Instruction :
  1. Clean fish, give salt, turmeric and vinegar to remove fishy smell and then frying.
  2. Blend dried red chilies, onion, garlic and salt.
  3. Preheat oil, saute the spices until fragrant.
  4. Pour tamarind juice and sugar, stir fry.
  5. Add fried fish, mix well.
  6. Cook until water dried.
