Klepon (Glutinous Flour Balls)

Me and my lil angel made one of Indonesian's pastry, called Klepon. So simple with ingredients glutinous rice flour and as filling with brown sugar, topping covered with shredded coconut.






Ingredients :
  • 300 grs glutinous rice flour.
  • 300 ml water.
  • Green food coloring is required.
  • 100 grs brown sugar.
  • 150 grs shredded coconut.
  • 1/2 tsp salt.
Instruction :
  1. Steam shredded coconut and let it cool.
  2. Boil water into big pan until boiled.
  3. Put glutinour rice flour, salt into bowl.
  4. Add water, mix until blended and not sticky,
  5. Take the dough and make a lil balls and punch a hole the middle.
  6. Mash brown sugar.
  7. Put brown sugar into hole of the dough and round up.
  8. Put ball into boil water until float.
  9. Remove from the water and roll onto shredded coconut.
  10. Do it until the dough finish.
  11. Ready to be served.
